Original tune. All four tracks are one-take on my Zoom H4:
Track 1, vox and gutbox git (Takamine C132S)
Track 2, harmony vox
Track 3, rubbing hands percussion
Track 4, lead guitar (Gitane D500)
The tempo increase during and after the second verse, as well as other features, marks this recording as an authentic one-take!
Two-chord tune, A & E.
Back when I used to date
I was looking for a perfect mate
She didn't need to be good looking
Just wanted some home cooking
I want some home cooking
It puts me in a good mood.
I want some home cooking.
I dont want no fast food.
I thought I'd found a perfect wife
I thought I'd love her all my life.
The first year we spread the love around
And put on a couple of pounds.
I had some home cooking
It put me in a good mood.
I had some home cooking.
I didnt eat no fast food.
Year two and our life has changed
Our married life is rearranged.
She no longer wants to bake
Says she got a headache.
I get no home cooking
I'm in such a bad mood.
I need some home cooking.
I thinking about fast food.
Year three and its still the same
Im getting hungry and shes to blame.
I found a place to drive through
Now Im in a better mood.
I wanted home cooking
But me wifes not in the mood.
I get no home cooking.
Now I go eat fast food.
Cool song! I was very tempted to get a Zoom H4 because of the four track, but I found a four track for my phone (not the best but good to jot down ideas) and got a PCM-D50 for live recordings...but I wish it had some of the features of the Zoom...
