that is the history, we cannot forget them, if we do the next generation can forget the same, what ever they did, by it with revolution, analysis and review only the modernity came ahead. Previous experience is always stepping stones to the future(success or failure).
People have migrated from one place to another for searching life(water or warriers based).

@samareddys "Ancient India" was Punjab and Sindh (Eastern Pakistan). The modern-day "India" has nothing to do with Moenjodaro.

@Indiaexpress Ofcourse Sati was important as in dhramashastras.. Basic verses taken from vedas and interpreted by sages like Manu, apastama, gautama, Vashista, Baudhayana, narada,brihaspati..all these sages attested SATI as the right thing to do inorder to aviod doubt on their chastity after their husbands have passed away.. Alexander the great and his Greeks thought of SATI as a practise by hindus to stop women from poisoning their husbands.
