FILM AUSTRALIA - THE MOST WONDERFUL FILM EVER MADE SINCE -AND IN THE SPIRIT OF- 'GONE WITH THE WIND'...REVIEW©2008-12-08.HDTVNEWS
RED CARPET FOR THE PREMIERE OF AUSTRALIA-
For this film I would give 10 out of 10 as a mark (if I would have to mark it!). For the Premiere and the wonderful scenery of teh red capet I would give 10 as well!... The only film you could compare it with is nothing less than 'Gone with the wind' ot just formaly (colors, classic spirit , in some ways related story etc) but also in the message of the film itself as they both raise the same concept and also in the technique , cinematography and wonderful photography ... However, in both stories a woman is suddenly left heir of what was a prosperous business but has to save it all from scratch! as sort of left with nothing... the George Cukor+ ... Film is within a war background and the Baz luhrman is just before the war...- though at the edge if not already within- the war... Both have horses ! but in australia it's a cattle ranch we talk about and in USA it's a cotton 'farm'... both find roots in a beautiful nature and environment full of wonders... Both women are exceptional and find exceptional men to work with and as their perfect soul mates. Both are first reluctant and don't recognise the correct partner first as it takes them both a transforming journey to discover what happiness could mean and is... Money and inheritage in itself is nothing unless it brings a desire to achieve something with it and along the way brings up skills to a sort of purified area, where Love finally finds its dwelling place!... ( to be continued soon!). REVIEW ©2008-12-11. JR for HDTVNEWS.

Twentieth Century Fox Present The UK Premiere of AUSTRALIA
ATTENDING FROM THE MOVIE:
Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman,
Director Baz Luhrmann, and Catherine Martin
AUSTRALIA is an epic and romantic action adventure, set in that country on the explosive brink of World War II. In it, an English aristocrat (NICOLE KIDMAN) travels to the faraway continent where she meets a rough-hewn local (HUGH JACKMAN) and reluctantly agrees to join forces with him to save the land she inherited. Together, they embark upon a transforming journey across hundreds of miles of the worlds most beautiful yet unforgiving terrain, only to face the bombing of the city of Darwin by the Japanese forces that attacked Pearl Harbor. With his new film, Director Baz Luhrmann is painting on a vast canvas, creating a cinematic experience that brings together romance, drama, adventure and spectacle.
