@MochiPuff58 @katyellisonbutler The director of Superflat Monogram, Mamoru Hosoda, also worked on Digimon: The Movie and Digimon: Bokura no War Game. Superflat Monogram was a collaboration between Murakami and Hosoda.

Before you "do your best" to inform people about Superflat, and put people down for relating it to something that appears visually similar, please try to "become engaged enough" to research the sources of this work. Murakami does not draw a distinction between high and low art.

The guy who made the Digimon movies, Mamoru Hosoda, is the one who directed this. So, that means the guy who designed and drew, Digimon: The Movie and Digimon: Bokura no War Game, also is the one who designed and drew this. Takashi Murakami is responsible for the idea/concept and, of course, his obvious Superflat models.

But the fact remains, it does look like the digimon artstyle, there CAN indeed be original manga styles but they all share resemblences and have influences on eachother.
