its not a matter of "if" an engine on a c-130 goes out.. only "when"
-
Last time I checked those had to spin

@Nerheim55 So I am assuming you work on C-130's at Little Rock AFB? Tell me more about it.
-
@cortes1988 If you work on 130s it will be a grueling always 12 hour job and never ending. Especially if you get little rock, they have a lot of the older shit birds. But also the newer one's, but most 130 crew chiefs I've talked to hate there job.

This is one reason why I want to work on C-130's. You never know when the engine stops.
-
If you record a rotating prop from a cellphone out of a bubble window, it distorts the rotating prop like you see in this clip.
-
Well the saying goes..."The only reason that big fan is on the front of the airplane is to keep the pilot cool, and if it stops turning the pilot gets very hot very quickly!" But the C-130 has 3 back up fans!

@woody8357 id still be shitting my pants.

Sry that 1 of our 4 engines is shut down. Not a biggie. Plus look at your altitude.

All aircraft loading and takeoff/landing performance caculations are done assuming an engine failure on every flight.
I understand now. My main concern was that we had a pretty heavy load and an engine down. The aircrew acted cool but we did have to go land and wait for some maintainence.

I don't see anything flapping. The only movement I see in the video other than the clouds and ground is the other propeller on that side. I guess it does look find of funny at that angle with it pitched out.
