The song is originally by Kawabe Chieko the singer of Sakura Kiss too.
In the english dub the VA I think it's Caitlin Glass is a fairly good singer too she sang one of the themes for FMA.

I am not sure if "Haruhi" sang that song or not...I know it was a joke because Maaya Sakamoto, the Japanese voice of Haruhi is known for her singing. I am unsure if she (Maaya) sang that song originally or if it was poking fun at the situation (Haruhi can't sing, Maaya can)
