  • Cold Engine Idiot.

  • @Yolinix

Sharp remark, but this was after 45 minutes of driving, then I hit the gas.

And as you may or may not know as a fellow idiot, it's the oil-pressure which is important.

Oil pressure was about 2 bar when idle, where it is 5 when the engine is cold.

But hey, I respect your status as a keyborad-Einstein idiot

  • @arnoldvenema I have porsche 924, and after 5 min i got hot engine... nice try.. lier + idiot, poor Porsche ;((

  • @Yolinix

Yeah sure....after five minutes your coolingwater is hot, but your oil isn't stupid numbnutz, because the oil pressure is still too high. warm oil = thin oil = lower/normal oilpressure, and that takes 15 minutes.

So it is your poor 924 when you hit the gas after only 5 minutes, you will wreck the engine in less then 2 years. But since you are from Poland, you will probably steal another 924 here in Holland after that....kurwa

  • I've hit 230 on the german autobahn with my '84 standard 924. I assumed the speedo was a bit optimistic or a bit of read wind... but it always felt slightly faster than 125hp. Maybe it was running a bit rich. Oh, and it had 220.000 km on the clock :)

  • @NigoNI60

I have also hit 230 once, but like you said, the speedo is optmistic. At that speed easily 20 km/h difference.

  • nice sound!

  • 2011 when the summer beginns i will buy one but a later model of the last years, but i think i take a "S" with the 2.5 liter engine.

A old man in the next village have a red one, and he is driving before me and i cant hold with his curve speed, ok my s4 weights 1.6 tons but hase 340HP the porsche only 150, but no chance against a 70 year old man =) it was so funny, i saw the grey hair and think "oh god grandpa on tour" and in many S curves he speeds up like Röhrl himself :D

  • I've got the European model 1980... love it!
