Hi, A quick question.. what is that thing you put of the guitar fret board called? (apart from your fringertips lol). That metal black thing.

Why do you use it and for what? And how do you know when to use it?

hey, it's called a capo and it changes the key of the guitar. i use it for songs that are maybe written by guys and are a little too low for me. the capo makes it so i don't have to transpose everything to fit my voice better.
