I have two 2 volumes of Robby Naish High Performance Windsurfing. In volume 2, circa 1986 based on the video content Robby clearly performs several push loops and possibly lands one but they cut away! Anyway, at the end of the intro they show Robby attempt a Push Loop, he doesn't quite land this one, but it is a Push Loop. This is before forward loops or backwards loops have even been invented! Richard Gould....
I saw a film (video) of Peter Boyd doing the first loop copyrighted in 1982. MTV did a feature story on Boyd's loop a short time after (MTV's wipeout weekend in Hawaii, was the show) I know Robby and Peter were friends and if I remember correctly, he inspired Robby to do Boyd's version of the loop in competition and then Robby did the first push loop, the one you see here.
