Tom Campbell, California gubernatorial candidate and former Dean of the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, talks on "Political Leadership in a World of Suspicion" as part of the Deans Speaker Series. (Nov. 4, 2009)
The University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business is one of the world's leading producers of new ideas and knowledge in all areas of business - which includes the distinction of having two of its faculty members receive the Nobel Prize in Economics over the past 15 years. The school offers six degree-granting programs. Its mission is to develop innovative business leaders - individuals who redefine how we do business by putting new ideas into action, and who do so responsibly. The school's distinctive culture is defined by four key principles - question the status quo; confidence without attitude; students always; and, beyond yourself.

Funny. Leadership has indeed been under constant scrutiny.

@duffoo He says the notion that eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse will balance the budget is a whopper, not the idea of getting rid of it. Listen a bit closer.

A Republican who wants to raise the gasoline tax? He calls eliminating waste, fraud and abuse a "whopper," yet he seems okay with the idea of raising taxes. May I also inquire as to why he objects to running the states more like a business? He talks about greater efficiency yet he doesnt talk enough about all the wasteful spending in the state.

This guys is a complete fucking joke and will make a horrible Governor. I have no idea why he would even call himself a Republican and be the Dean of Haas @ Berkley (one of the most liberal schools in th nation).
