Rescued this little guy out of the water. I had never seen them dry themselves like this. It was amazing watching him behave in the way a dog or cat does after having a bath. He tried drying himself on my hand, and when I realized what he was doing, I set him on my jeans where my knee bends so that he could use the folds in the material to dry himself a bit easier. I also found a female near his spot, videoed her also. They must have been mating or about to mate before ending up in the water.

  • awww, thank you for rescuing them. what species is this? jumpers are amazing little critters. i always stop and chat when i see one in the garden! typically a la, "ohhh! hewo cute widdle jumping bider! youz sooo cuuute!"

  • @astrokmb1 This species is called Phidippus Audax.

  • How do you pick them up without them jumping away or biting?

  • @ccrg109 I have never had problems with biting, but I do run into some that act like they're on hot coals if they are on me. Some spiders are skittish and some just come right to me. It depends on the spider's personality. I have run into extremely shy spiders of this species that is walking on me, then there are the ones who aren't afraid like this one in my video.

  • omfg how can u hold a spider without freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lilbitlovesya1 It became easy after I handled my first spider, which is in a video I have called Worlds Cutest Jumping Spider On My Finger. As I learned the nature of spiders, it just got easier and easier.

  • @mbudd121 Me to

  • My dog shakes himself, as do all cats and dogs!! Loser

  • @mbudd121 Thats what I was waiting for -.-

  • looks like my aunt after getting out of the pool.....

  • so cute. his abdomen is so tiny though :( i wonder if he is malnourished

  • So cute! Seems so animal-like here.

  • @lilbitlovesya1 A bit late sure, but considering the size of the spider and him not freaking out, imagine a tarantula, a bastard as big as your hand and the way they bite goes under your skin and twists, making it really hard to take em out, see those are the ones you can understand if someone freaks out with, these spiders can barely go through our skin with their fangs, they are so adorable. <3

  • @Torn80cj if i watch spider videos and don't get scared does it mean im not afraid of them?
