The Olney Gay Pancake Race

Once upon a time the friends of a betrothed man decided they wanted to show him their love for him prior to his wedding.

They thought long and hard about the best way of doing this, and eventually they realised the best way was to let the rest of the world see what a special man he was, so they could all love him too.

But how to do it ?

They decided the best way was for him to win a race. The town where he lived was famous for its pancake race, so it seemed that a pancake race would be the perfect tribute.

They decided not to let anyone else enter the race, as he had quite a jelly belly and would struggle to win.

They knew he has a great sense of fashion, so they let him choose his own outfit for the race.

This is tribute to that man, and the day he won "The Olney Gay Pancake race"
