I saw the recreated "POPEYE" title that was that plastered the one shown here on my "Popeye Volume 2" DVD. The original Paramount titles are on "Leave Well Enough Alone," though.

Originally released in January 1939 {all that's missing is the Paramount logo at the beginning, before the main title}, this is primarily a "cheater", where footage from previous Popeye cartoons was woven into a new story- in this case, Popeye and Bluto as rival "penny arcade" owners, with "nickelodeons" [featuring the older footage] for Wimpy to mooch off of...

As I realize this, they'd better shape up when they get to Popeye Volume 4 (of the Popeye DVD collection from Warners with permission from KFS/Paramount), meaning the color Famous Popeyes need to be all (or most) orginials.

The fake opening where the dissolves that were dated from the "Ain't She Sweet" cartoon are beyond me.
Correct. Well, that's what these companies get for not consulting private collectors- some of which are very accessible!
