Jeff Brady, CEO of Dallas-based Brady Media Group, explains how frustration with media coverage can become fuel for free publicity, if channelled the right way. Contact the reporter, and explain - diplomatically - why you think the story may have missed a pertinent point, and how you would be willing to talk on camera, or 'for the record'. This is particularly useful to the reporter if your opinion represents some unique industry perspective or authoritative view.

  • I have seen Television news reporters explode

on the air before. Watching them lose the tempers

on television is so ridiculous! If reporters are to

behave inappropriately in the air in public, they

should no longer in journalism. Journalists

    sometime act like jerks!
