That's true, but only half true. You have to recognize the ideology behind the war hawks too. It seems like a mix of Trotskyism and fascism, as the neocons have their roots in 1950s university Trotskyism, which basically calls for world domination by one super power. That's why they're encircling Russia and China, which was one of the main benefits of invading Iraq, Afghanistan, and crossing operations into Pakistan.

Iran will be next.

70% of the world's weapons are made in the US so if you are a weapons maker this is good business but you need an enemy real or perceived to use the weapons on. Can't keep all that inventory. Gotta use it. That is what's driving US foreign policy. Big business wanting perpetual war for their own profit. Peace is no good for business.
