Wild camping in the rain

A overnight camp in a local woodland showing how I set up my hammock.I also baked bannock bread for the first time and heard the cuckoo.It was good to have the rain.It has been rather dry in these parts so it was very welcome!

The bannock tasted lovely. Been watching some of your videos too. Enjoyed the huntin and bottle cutting videos I hope to have a few small game hunting vids up soon.

There are a number of us about. Most folk think we're strange doing stuff like camping in the woods and messing around with fire, knives, guns, and generally being at one with our surroundings. Infact most people are petrified about spending a night alone in a wood. But there are a few like us who feel at one with the wood and wild animals. Who try to learn from others and nature.

I am going out again soon. Guess another video to be made.

@thebackpackingdad I would agree with your comments. If you look at later videos you will see the hammock has more sag. Yes an underquilt is definately on my shopping list. The sleeping mats are not that good.

Just reading throu the comments and I've got to say thi biggest argument for hammocks is that they are so much more comfortable! @g0vqw it looks like your hammock is suspended way too tight! It should have some sag and should be hanging at about a 30* angle. You should also try an under quilt instead of a sleeping pad.... Great vid though :)
