"Sequitur" is a series of compositions for a solo instrument and live-electronics, composed by Karlheinz Essl in 2008/2009. A computer program written in Max/MSP generates a complex 8-part canon from the live input which is sent to a network of sound transformators which are controlled by compositional algorithms in realtime.

This versions was written for the mezzosopranist Margarete Jungen and performed by herself during the concert "Melange à trois" at the machbar, Klosterneuburg on March 19th, 2009.

  • Gorgeous. This is an amazing work. I'm fairly new into the electronic composition game and I had not previously heard of Max/ MSP. Does it have a steep learning curve for those familiar with general audio software?
