Pregnant with baby - 11 weeks 1 day ultrasound

I am 11 weeks 1 day, but I accidentally told the doctor I'm 11 weeks 2 days. The fetus measured 11 weeks 5 days (larger than I expected). The doctor said as long as the measurement is within a week of the dates, they are happy.

This was done with the ultrasound sensor on top of my belly. The doctor put gel on my lower belly and moved the little sensor around to get a good view (and she warned me that a little gel might touch my pants).

Mid-next week we will have the appointment where they use a higher-resolution/quality ultrasound machine to check for fetal abnormalities. It'll be part of the routine genetic screenings that go from week 12 through I think week 18. They'll measure the neck and other body parts.

We'll get to listen to the heartbeat in a little over a month on a machine.
