Own a piece of railway history.
A catalogue of the devices and their parts manufactured by Union Switch & Signal Co. Swissvalle, PA.
This 1894 version of Signaling from The Union Switch and Signal Company (George Westinghouse, jr president) is embossed in gold with the name of James J. Hill. It was once part of the defunct Great Northern Railway Company Museum.
This book is rare enough on it's own, but here is you chance to own one that was sent to rail road mogul James J. Hill. Give this former museum piece a new home today!
The leather cover is in poor condition, both front and rear covers are detached. Some of the first few and last few pages are loose. Otherwise, the rest of the book is in good condition. I've been told it is repairable but I will leave that decision to the new owner. See photos below. 9" wide by 12" tall by 1" thick, 351 pages, 151 plates (photos &drawings).
Ive had a few questions about the cover. The cover is leather (not cloth) and all the embossing is gold.
