Here's a rare look at Herb Alpert hosting at the Hollywood Palace playing Tijuana Taxi (the way it's meant to be shown) and introducing the Brass. What a find. Enjoy.

P.S. I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to see Herb and Lani play at Blues Alley in Georgetown Washington DC 12 May 2008. The show was absolutely spectacular. After all these years, they both still have it: the skills and the love. Truly a remarkable show. Herb and Lani, thanks to all of the wonderful years of warming our hearts with your great art work. You both are truly blessed as well as I was at your show.

  • is this live?? I am not sure

  • Amazing....love the xylophone....wow, this is so good....!!!!

  • ... could Herb be considered an honorary member of the (in)famous Wrecking Crew group or studio musicians? Herb was clearly featured on a lot of hit songs in the '60s which also included instrumentation by Wrecking Crew members - Herb's melodic trumpet lines were very much an integral part of most of the popular songs he played on... probably a major selling point in them as well. BTW what was the TJB song playing in the background in the demo reel film w/ Terri Garr-also here on the 'Tube?

  • @bluekarma sorry man but the guy who play the marimba is from mexico.

  • I also love the Tijuana Brass. I would go see my grandparents in Amarillo Texas, and they always played this song for me, It was my favorite! Herb Alpert and his band gave me a lifetime full of wonderful memories!

  • I too also am a fan of the TJB

  • Thumbs up if this song makes you want to dance:

  • @bluekarma - But in "Tijuana' are 3 or 4 Italians, which is pretty close.

  • @logspeck me too / Nick Garrett

  • @exitfarter No es yo si usted sabe que son buenos y todos sus amigos y familia dicen lo mismo.
