The 9th Army was the last stand between Berlin and the Soviet invasion of Germany, small pockets of units remaining, ran towards the west to surrender to the Americans in fear of Russian revenge and the idea of taken prisoners to Siberia. This documentary tells their story using interviews with the participants.

@shortist2003 Stalin in 1938-1939 has killed a considerable quantity of commanders and generals of red army. Is did it make for begin war?.... LOL I talked to many soldiers of red army and they told to me that the red army was not ready to war in 1941. Therefore also has suffered bad losses in the first months of war. Stalin trusted in the peace treaty signed with Germany till the most extreme time....

@Vanyaaynav You are wrong again. Russian historian Mikhail Meltyukhov has said the idea for striking Germany was the very basis of Soviet military planning from 1940 to 1941. Russian writer Mark Solonin said several variants of the war plan against Germany existed since at least August 1940.
