The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister - Rise

Hello everyone! After watching this BBC drama I had to make a video of it - I couldn't help but be taken in by the true story of Anne Lister - a woman determined to be herself living in the 1800's. It is also a wonderful story of how her diaries were eventually found and decoded - containing over 14 million words!

So the story to this one is from Anne's point of view and is how she is determined to find herself another woman after her intense relationship with Mariana comes to an end.

Music is called 'Rise' by Gabrielle, from the soundtrack of the same name - a fantastic song!

Thanks to Maxine Peake for her awesome portrayal of Anne Lister and to the ever brilliant Anna Madeley for bringing us Mariana Belmont. Also thanks to Jane English, the writer and to James Kent, the director.
