VAN MORRISON - Sweet Thing - Live at the Hollywood Bowl

The way he starts off the singing here is amazing, like African chant. Imagine that the words are in some African language, then you understand what I mean, and perhaps it will add a dimension to the experience of this particular interpretation. For the words are what they are; the way by which they are presented matters just as much, if not more. It takes you to that sweet thing.

I was at this concert...one of the greatest days of my life...and I loved that he played 'Caravan' which is my favorite song of us...

Amazing how I can't understand a goddamn 90% of what the hell this guy's singing, but damn, I still like it!

I'm a 26 year old clubber from nottingham, i love my dance and trance music but agree totally that van morrison is probably the finest musician to ever live, unlike most people my age i appreciate beautiful music when i hear it
