Featuring: Triang R354/R37 4-2-2 Lord Of The Isles loco & tender, 2 x Triang R553/R554/R763/R764 4-2-2 Caladonian single loco's/tender's in Maroon & Blue liveries. Plus a description/trip around my temporary layout & why.

Sorry for misdescribing [on the voice over] the 3 locos as 4-4-0 wheel arrangement.....I should have said 4-2-2. Also, the 4-6-2 blue loco in the sidings is 'Saint Frusquin' not 'Sir' as I described.

This is my temporary layout and it's a bit 'round & round' for the moment! I have pinched every inch out of my small spare room for now with a view to moving everything into the attic/loft in the New Year [2012].....hence no ballast, grass, sceenary etc yet. Thanks for your interest and dropping by. Cheers, John.

  • Hi Graham, yes, well spotted. I actually mention this in one of my videos. The centre main line & everything in the middle is all Super 4. The outer & middle main lines are all Hornby Series 6 / Peco Setrack 100. I've changed many wheels on locos & rolling stock to run them on the later track but some items are best left to a dedicated Super 4 track. Once in the attic I'll have 2 dedicated Super 4 lines & 4 Hornby Series 6 lines.

Thanks for dropping by, cheers, John.

  • Thanks for your kind words Andrew (I think it's Andrew). Videoing and youtube is all new to me so I'll try and do my best. Cheers, John.

  • why the company Hornby does not release the old electric locomotives with huge wheels that look like the tram ?!!

  • Looks good John. Are you using Triang Super 4 on the inside and later Hornby/Peco on the larger curves? Graham
