  • what time of the year is the best time to trap leeches.

    I have had the best luck around walleye fishing opener.

  • I'd say the best time is from May 1 thru the end of June, however you can catch them anytime where there isn't ice.

  • I believe you should stand in the water for a while, it usually seems to attract the most leeches for me.

  • @JewellOutdoors you should enter the medicinal market!! they work good for alot of things.

  • We use the rubber band sometimes to help keep leeches from falling out when pulling the trap out of the water.

  • why do you put a rubber band on the trap?

  • i use a 6 liter juice bottle with a large funnel attached to the spout end with a wienner inside the juice bottle and have caught up to 140 leeches in 1 night
