This is what the story of African music ought to be, each new artiste as an improvement on the quality of presentation of predecessors. Barabara Kanam is a natural before the lights and the cameras, and she sings with panache too. I would gladly propose her as a successor to even the likes of Oumou Sangare, because she carries the promise of doing "Sangare" even better before the world!
