World Famous Radio Star Stephanie Miller introduces David Karr at the Chicago Improvisation Comedy Club on August 8, 1988, the same night they turned the lights on at Wrigley Field home of The Chicago Cubs.

It was a historic evening in Chicago, Dave known also as the Dynamic Dave had been doing his Rock & Roll Magic act that included extensive stage equipment and props before taking the stage at the Improv to take a shot at straight stand up.

The Rock & Roll Magic show integrated classic magic with comedy, rock n roll and Dave's original illusions including an appearing guitar and even an appearing drum set finally.

With such an elaborate stage show including live doves and even the traditional live rabbit from a top hat. Daves plan was to take somewhat of a break and try his hand at working the crowd with just a microphone and a plan to fall back on, a magic trick in reserve for a finally to some straight forward shtick.

It didn't turn out that way. The comedian preceding Dave's slot was a (unnamed) veteran of the comedy scene and began his five minute slot with an exemplary impression of "Floyd the Barber" from the well know Andy Griffith T. V. Show.

The well seasoned comic unexpectedly concluded his act well under 3 minutes with a final joke relating to the cross town event taking place with night game lights burning at Wrigley Field while Dave was showing his good friend Stuart Rose how to work his hand held video camera and put the magic prop he intended to use on stage in the camera case temporarily.

As the comedian on stage concluded: "I really just came here tonight to try out this one joke" he said... "so tonight they are turning on lights at Wrigley Field, what's next... indoor plumbing?" Which got the belly sized laugh he was looking for but caught everyone else off base.

As Stephanie quickly took her stand as the Emcee for the evening, and tossed in a quick joke about rental apartments posing signs saying "no lights" Dave hit the record button on the camera in Stuart's hand and said "we're on" and then headed to the stage without the single prop set in his jacket for the finally of his act.

This was a real exercise in improvisation because Dave did not even realize he was entirely without the trick he intended to perform until he had a volunteer already on stage! It's all in good fun and sometimes you just have to fly by the seat of your pants and for a first time out you might say he pulled off quite a trick in the end.

Normally a magician will tell his audience its fun to be fooled but in this case the shoe was on the other foot "you go" Dave just say yes to comedy is the moral of the story here.

We hope you the youtube viewers have a good laugh too, laughter is the best medicine next to having a look at the sexy Stephanie Miller as hot now as she was then, live on stage!
