Muin Khoury started out as a doctor, but soon realized he wanted to impact more people than he could through his practice alone. Muin is the founding director of CDC's Office of Public Health Genomics and has simultaneously served as the National Cancer Institute's senior consultant in public health genomics. He also spearheaded the Genomic Applications in Practice and Prevention Network (GaPPNet).
