After I set them off, I video my houses fire alarm system going off. This system is all interconnected and from FIREX. It was built in with the house, many newer homes in the country have this brand of smoke detectors

  • My dad's apartment has these ones installed in it, Even if the batteries die in them, they run on electricity.

  • good good good

  • i know but i read something about it

  • Kidde has only recalled the ones made Aurgust or 2008 to May of 2009 because of their potential failure. At the time of writing, the alarms were not manufactured and there was no way of consumers knowing of the recall.

  • kidde Dual Sensor ones that the model number p2000 have bin recalled because they fail to alarm in a fire

  • We just moved into a home and our fire detectors sound similar to that and a voice says "Fire...Fire" which is pretty disturbing by itself. The one by the kitchen goes off every time we cook on the stove...stupid thing lol! I guess I am GLAD we have them though!

  • I have these existing FireX model FADC alarms in my house as well.

Kidde recently bought out the FireX division of Invensys and many current Kidde models will work with existing FireX models AD, ADC, and FADC alarms. You should be able to hook up a Kidde model PI2000 onto your existing FireX system if you're going Dual Sensor. Kidde also makes an adapter (Model KA-F) so you can connect their alarms up to the existing FireX plug without re-wiring.
