Excellent bike! (drive one myself) Beautifull country!

You are so lucky to live in Scotland. I live in Belgium, and the only nice biking-roads we have are in the Ardens (Bastogne, La Roche, Dinant, etc).

Btw, are you having less turbulences with the extra windscreen?

The screen is a MRA Vario Screen ... help with turbulence alot highly recommended .

I like my transalp very much, very easy to ride, quite comfy but I have a bad back so use a Airhawk which makes a days riding easy .. 180 miles roughly to a full tank of petrol.

For offroad stuff get proper tyres on..

Best thing to do is get a test ride before you decide.
