@NintendoG8mer Yeah, but in correct English it'd be "Given example." So I'll believe etymology here. ^^ They are both correct, anyway. I personally like f.e. because it directly translates to b.v. (bij voorbeeld, Dutch) and p.e. (par example). I never use acronyms, though. ^^

ich glaube die richtige abkürzung ist e.g.
aber ich bin mir nicht sicher ob nicht beides geht

so viel ich weiß funktioniert beides.

@Iced1992 i'm pretty sure you're true, but I can remember that someone told me, that it means example given.
