  • I worked on A few oil spills including the New Carissa On Oregon Coast. I am also A Chief Engineer on Merchant Vessels. I just want to say that in the Marine Industry, it is common knowledge that spraying a dispersant on oil is illegal. I don't know what people's understanding of the word dispersant is, do they think it just evaporates the oil? You cant clean oil when it's on the ocean floor. They need to clean it up the right way. They will kill most marine life that exists on the ocean floor.

  • Nalco Holdings is the company owned by Goldman Sachs that makes the dispersant COREXIT. BP used over 1 millions gallons of the stuff even after the EPA told them not to. Sachs gave over 1 million $ to the Obama campain. Much more than the Bush campaign. Sachs also short sold on TransOcean before the explosion. Obama could have prevented the use of COREXIT but didnt for a reason. This leak could have been fixed within days with minimal impact had they carefully cut the riser and used microbes.

  • I'll be watching to see the idiot in chief explain how wonderful things are on the gulf, how pure the seafood is, and how great the air quality. Then I'll laugh and probably throw up.

  • Yes, but what do they taste like? Idiots!

  • The "tiny shrimp-type thing" are what the young fish feed on. The smaller the organisms, the harder the impact of Corexit-Oil®.

Plancton is smallest - the "tiny worm" & "tiny shrimp-type thing" feed on the plancton.

Total disruption of the food-tree from the roots.
