First of all Zaid bin Harith was Kahdija s servant and the prophet was treating him as his son so people called him Zaid bin Muhammad.
Before Islam, the Arabs did not allow divorcees to remarry.
freeing these slaves was not the only problem, which was to be tackled. An even more important problem was to blend and graft them within the normal social structure of the society once they had been set free. Keeping in view the great sense of superiority the Arabs had over slaves, this was an extremely uphill task.

Consequently, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in order to make them acceptable as normal members of a society took a very radical step. He persuaded his cousin sister Zaynab bint Jahsh to marry Zayd ibn Harithah, a slave boy he had set free.
The marriage took place, but, unfortunately, it could not continue due to certain reasons (Zaynab was rather unhappy about the marriage, because of Zayd's former slave status. Zayd was very uneasy about the marriage and asked the Prophet's permission to divorce her). After this unfortunate dissolution of marriage, the only thing which could console Zaynab was if the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married her. Abdullah and al-Qasim besides 4 girls from her marriage with prophet muhammed pbuh , zaid was kadija slave and he wasn't his adopted son as u said

At the age of 25, Muhammad married Khadijah bint Khuwaylid. The marriage lasted for 25 years and was a happy one. Muhammad relied upon Khadija in many ways and did not enter into marriage with another woman during this marriage.
After the death of Khadija he stayed 2 years without marriage , it was suggested to Muhammad by Khawla bint Hakim, that he should marry Sawda bint Zama, a Muslim widow, or Aisha

which mean A Chain of Transmission, we follow the chain of the narrators till it reach the Prophet ,if there is a broken in the chain then the hadith is false besides there are certain types of narrators that, if they are present in the chain, they automatically make the hadith week .

so stop searching in the weak hadith unless if you want me to quote from apocryphal bibles such as The gospel of Jacob which says Mary, the mother of Jesus, got a finger inserted in her!
