So is this a literal translation of the port or the translator(s) just use the English dialogue from the original FFVII?

I know that whoever made this NES version probably just used most of the dialogue from the original game, but there's no way Cloud explained the Nibelheim flashback with only a few text boxes and no flashback at all.

This looks nothing like FFVII. The setting was extremely important, it was a cyberpunk style, there weren't castles in it. They could have tried to mimic this but it's too easy to create a simple castle, they probably stole the locations from some nes FF too. Crappy historical fantasy setting and not like the great varied interesting locations of VII.

Newer translation versions are still in progress, as well as improvement patches. This version was more of a demo release than an official one.
