I'm glad he had the balls to say how he feels about religion. It is ridiculous, but it's like a taboo in society that you can't talk bad about it. Chalk up another atheist to the list of intelligent people

no, he's not saying he's an atheist. he's just saying that people are too touchy -- and it's okay to make fun of religion (he's not saying religion is BAD though). he's mainly making fun of how sure people are of their religion and how they force that religion on others around them (when in fact, no one knows for sure)...that's his whole point. that's why he said if he were to be religious, he'd keep it to himself.

i think its ridicoolous to be one of those rligious people that clings on to eveyry wor of the bible, but i also think its ridiccolous o be 100 percent athiest, since both cases are stubborn. the first type of people are so stubborn they think they know every detail of mankinds creation and whats out there, etc and the second case are too stubborn to admit the possibility that there might be something out there and we were put here 4 a reason. nobody knows anything 4 in reality

@ILikesTheMusic but is it as illogical as, say, the big bang theory which they're saying created the Earth, and then after that, by sheer coincidence after coincidence (without any divine intervention), we're suddenly living in a world that seems to just glide and keep running on day after day? that seems just as, if not even more, unlikely. this is why in agnosticism, we believe that God may exist (we're open to the possibility). but we also want proof (which may or may not come in the future)

yeah, but like i said, he's mainly making fun of the fact that people walk around as if it's a sure thing. yes, people would also think he was crazy if he acted like that...but no, people wouldn't think he's crazy if he simply had a religion and kept it to himself. i feel (and i think he also feels) that it's NOT crazy to believe in something like religion, but it IS crazy to think it's 100% certain. personally, i'm an agnostic and i happen to think it COULD be true but it also could NOT be.

he is not merely saying religion can be made fun of, but he was making fun of it himself...in saying that it is ridiculous to believe the things that people believe...and so he said he would keep it to himself, true, but because other people might think he was crazy, cuz it is crazy to believe in something like religion
