Fender Standard Stratocaster vs Gibson Les Paul Traditional

It's not exactly fair since the strat isn't an american series, but it does show the differences between the single-coil pickups and the humbucking pickups. Hopefully this will help anyone who can't decide between the two.

Both guitars have all volume and tone knobs on 10.

The amp is a Roland cube 15 (I know, it doesn't do the Gibson justice). The EQ settings and volume on the amp stay the same throughout.

I think both guitar have their own character, Fender with vintage single coil and Gibson with long sustain humbucker, Strat and Les Paul are the best

I have one of each. A Gibby LP Joe Bonamassa sig and a Fender Strat!! Love them both for what they "bring to the table." Both Gibson and Fender are superb. Consider the roots of guitar down in the delta waaaaay back, with cigar boxes and 3 strings. We're ALL blessed these days. Just play.

You need one of both. Ther eis no way to get both in one guitar. Even PRS cannot duplicate the tonal difference between a Strat , and Les Paul. Of course both are completely different animals. Different Materials , different methods of build, different string scale/neck scale/ different pick ups, single coil, vs. humbuckers, different output pots,etc. etc. BTW you should tune that thang up before posting . It really gives a bad interpretation. Also learn how to use your tone controls.
