@loufalce Entirely agree, of course. :) If there's a revival of the great days of movie writing and performance, it might will be on the internet. Either that on a cell phone or I-Pod. Most likely then short movies because of the helter-skelter attention span inherent on the web, cell phone or I-Pod.
@Glinkaism1 ......I`m a Star Wars fan-except for Phantom Menace, but you are exactly right! No more real stars, just "flavor of the month" actors and actresses, sequels, prequels, franchises, tv into film, super heroes and remakes galore. Asides from seeing classic films at revival houses, the last Hollywood "product" I went to see was "The Passion of the Christ" because of the controversey. It was OK, but give me "King of Kings" or "Ben Hur" anyday. BTW, CGI stinks! It always looks phoney.
@loufalce That's for sure! The sheeple are brainwashed like robots and make mediocre flim-flam filmakers rich watching Star Boes and their piss-poor progeny. CGI. Great actors uttlerin shit lines agains a CGI background.
The web is on the verge of becoming the Hollywood of yesteryear.
@theROnin That's the thing about opinions, everybody has one. I would never say that Mr. Bogart's performance was trash, only that perhaps you treasure it a bit more than I do. Obviously you value your own opinion quite highly. High self esteem? I wonder if such a high self esteem is deserved or the product of an over inflated ego, narcissism maybe. Who knows? Who cares? I'm done wondering.
@Firehorse40 Subtlety and finesse? That was a monochromatic, uninspired performance typical of most actors of the day. Put that up against the nuance displayed by Bogart and I don't see how you can come up with praise of Ferrer by comparison.
Of all the lawyer rolls produced by Hollywood, Mr. Ferrer's performance is in my humble opinion, the very best, A # 1. With all due respect to Mr. Bogart, the subtlety and finesse of Ferrer is superlative.
The absolute best actor of all time!

There's more dialogue by Ferrer that is genius writing. Haven't found it on here yet. But Ferrer's voice and acting are superb.
