Final concert by the best rock band performing "all my love"Berlin 07-07-80.I used a collage of pics from Zeppelin's later days.I feel that even though they we're well into their 30's.I felt musically they we're at their peak.A larger variety of instruments and by the sound of this particular performance and their final European tour I feel that Led Zeppelin were already heading towards a new direction that would have carried them through the 80's.

  • Jimmy is lacking much talent in these shows. There were fery few moments of greatness by Jimmy Page in 1980. Correct me if I am wrong, But I am pretty sure it is due to the drinking and heroin yes?

  • @JustinPierce1226 Sure,I think Jimmy's performance was affected by his drug abuse in the 80' sessions and especially around the 77' N.American tour. ,But considering 2 of 4 members were smacked out on Heroin I think they did very well.I appreciate listening to Zeppelin live because you never know whats going to be played.

  • @whipit4me If Jimmy was (and I don't doubt it) who was the other member using Herion?

  • @auntjojo802 John Bonham was also strung out on Heroin. From what I've read in several books Bonham's Heroin use started just before the Physical Graffiti LP........

  • 30 years ago today :(

  • @latache1966 Time has gone by so quickly.

  • cant believe nobody has a video of this song...

  • Superb, thank you.

  • I have so much love for this band it's impossible to express in words

  • they're performances, To me, it just wasn't the same after 1975

  • @JustinPierce1226 Well said. I've gone in & out of musical phases, but the sound of musical brilliance will never pass away. So many artists have succumbed to easy access of everything they could ever want. I understand why he might not feel the same about Led Zeppelin, it is a time gone by. A lot of life has happened since. I'm sure he is now totally aware he lost his edge. My hope now is he can pull his whole life experience together & bring that brilliance out once again. I'm counting on it.

  • @whipit4me That has to be speculation... he got FAT after 75..no doubt a lot of it was due to drinking..but he looked pretty fucking fit as shown in the knebworth footage.. Heroin turns you white and into a freaking stick...

  • @JustinPierce1226

Yeah, Page sounded pretty bad around this time. It's funny how distinctive his smacked out sound is. You can recognize it in a second. It's real clipped and terse with squiggly little out of tune bends. I wonder if other players are affected the same way.

  • I do believe that no matter what Led Zeppelin played their were fantastic. To date no one has been able to reproduce any of their songs. No matter if it is rock and roll, blues or a ballad they went over the top...

  • Irony....the Berlin show not a good one at all. Instead of having a signature final epitaph for Bonham, this is not what we want as a legacy for Zeppelin. Page had his worst night here of the 80 tour. Plant, jones and Bonham are trying so hard to cover his ass that night but to no avail. There are a couple solid shows on the 80 tour but no where near in comparison to the work they did through 75. The band fed off of Bonzo and Jimmy and by 80 they had checked out. Bonzo did not want to tour

  • Jimmy is one of the three reasons why I picked up a guitar. The other two reasons were: My dad had a guitar laying around the house. The last reason is because I made a friend who played and he showed me one riff. From then on I was hooked on playing and taught myself the rest I know thus far, 16 years later. Some of the first songs I learned were Led Zeppelin songs because I wanted to learn from the best.
