In November 2009 The Higher Education Funding Council for England called upon the Governors of London Metropolitan University to "consider their positions" (as well as the Deputy VC Academic, Director of Finance, and University Secretary). On 15th December 2009 students and staff lobbied the Board of Governors, and called upon them to resign. In a speech - unfortunately, not recorded here - Paul Mackney, the former General Secretary of NATFHE, also called upon Lyn Link (the HR Director) to resign, leading chants of "Lyn Link OUT!". Other speakers, including local MP Jeremy Corbyn, also called for the Governors to go.

Jeremy Corbyn has also laid down a new Early Day Motion in Parliament, concerning London Metropolitan University. That can be read at http://tinyurl.com/y97eanz You can lobby your own MP to sign this motion. To find your MP, go to http://www.writetothem.com/
