Red Room Riddle - 1983 episode from ABC Weekend Specials series - part 1 of 3

As part of a club initiation, Bill (Billy 'Jayne' Jacoby, "Just One of the Guys," "Parker Lewis") and Todd have to enter an old house haunted by the ghost of Jamie Bly. Soon the boys encounter a slew of ghosts, and they get trapped inside of a red, glowing room.

Based on the novel by Scott Corbett, this film originally aired on The ABC Weekend Special, and was one of the of the most memorable and spookiest films from that series.

Yes, just as Todd notices, about Jamie's "Tom Sawyer-like" clothes, there is, indeed, something VERY STRANGE, about him. But they find out the answer to his eeriness, all right, QUICKLY ENOUGH.

Wow. I haven't seen this since probably 1985. Had forgotten about until yesterday and figured there wouldnt be a copy available. But of course, you can go on YouTube and find an obscure 1980s ABC special. Awesome, Thanks for uploading!!

I have been trying to find this show for years. Finally found it. As with everyone else, it really scared me, the last scenes, but I loved watching it. I was hoping it would be on DVD but not yet. These shows from the 80's were the best. They taught morals and values. I wish the TV networks would put these shows on again.

Todd,as they go through the gate,which unlocks itself,for them:"I could have SWORN it was locked!" Also, after meeting Jamie:"There's even something strange about Jamie's clothes! They look like clothes that were in style,in the 19th century! Why would anyone wear such clothes?" Yes, how EERIE,indeed.
