Mind posting the settings and equipment you used for this? This has got to be the clearest mtb film work Ive seen, even better than the yeti films!

@flatr0ck Thanks a lot! Our goal was to create a video showcasing some of the best MTB features in the 18 road Fruita area, and we were pretty happy with the results considering we used a budget Sanyo VPC-FH1A camcorder. A Sony VCT-R100 tripod was used to stabilize the shots, and we carried the gear on our bikes to each location, filming for about 8 hours across a two day period. A series of new videos are in the works, so stay tuned!

@jonincsoft Thats pretty insane you were able to that quality on budget! Do you know what film settings you used (fps ect)? My friend and I are roadtrip mountain biking San Diego-Zion-Moab-Fruita after finals and Im going to try to get some footy. Any tips would be appreciated.

@flatr0ck We filmed at 720p, 30FPS. Usually, filming at a higher frame rate makes action shots look benign, and anything lower than 27FPS becomes noticeably slow. It is also essential to film in progressive: action shots filmed with interlaced video tend to produce undesireable results. The rest is mostly artistics: framing, camera orientation relative to the light, etc. Enjoy your mountain bike trip, and let us know if there's a location you would like use to consider this filming season.
