@shadowgloria Agreed, about the directors. But my theory on the voices is that a lot of musical actresses tend to have those brash, projecting sort of voices - Little Nell was sort of a random - she was mainly a dancer anyway. She sounded perfect for her part but she couldn't really sing as such. Still, it would not hurt to define Columbia's voice as high-pitched generally - it fits.

@RandomChica18 I assume it's because most directors tell their Columbias to avoid resembling the movie version. Most directors don't know the difference between copying verbatim and borrowing ideas that work. :-P
-
@RandomChica18 yeah she probably couldn't sing the octave up.

@FF7RLZ On stage it's The Rocky Horror Show, not Rocky Horror Picture Show, that's the film. Jus sayin.

@Torres89013 You should have mentioned it afterward- that might have turned the "awkwardness" tables.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that most Columbia's have kind of deep-ish voices and not the cutesy high pitched voice like Little Nell? Is it because most people can't sing that high and nasally, or what's the deal?
