I swear, I have NEVER been able to wrap it around my head why people make this big funk over energy consumption regarding television sets...

If a household can afford one of these 50" or 60" baby's, why the HELL would a 25% increase in their electricity bill be the reason that they are struggling for a bowl of cereal in the morning?
