Ever wondered "whats inside"???

Here U can see it.

My old monitor...
Before bringing it to a junk-jard.
I take out some parts i still can use.

The explanation of the transistors was not really correct.
The transistor for the power-supply is on the other side of the circuit board.

  • I have old monitor that i disconnected like year ago. Can it possibly have static (or other, I'm not electrician...) charge inside or it is safe to dissasemble? o_O

  • @Faflickas

    hi.

no not if it was disconnected a year ago.

this should be safe by now...

expect it if it was a week ago or so

  • Don't that thing have lead in it, why did u break the tube when it has lead!?!

  • @kipkay211

the lead is in the front glass.

but even if U break this front glass lead is no problem. because its like crystal glass molten into the glass. and U can have a drink in crystal glass which is exactly a lead glass as well. the most concern should be the layers right in the inside of the front glass allowing the electron beam to produce visible light.

  • HI. dunno your model of screen, it should be possible to adjust several values not via regular menu but by adjusting (adj) a potentiometer. most common thing is to adj sharpness with a potentiometer at the DST

  • that bird was far better than J.B :))

  • @tiktakclock

    jeah rite.

but JayBee seems to be earning more money yet than many of us "regular citizens" in our whole life.

    This definately sux.

  • excellent video

  • @TheError404 I hope you do because I have an old 19" T.V and want to take it apart, discharge it and scavenge the components. I am only just learning about electronics so is there a possibility of you doing a tutorial on what I mentioned and pointing out useful components?

  • I desoldered (extreme way) all the parts from 4 pc monitors (CRT ones) and there was a ton of parts (like 3kg or 6 pounds). I'll soon make a video about that :)

  • Tyube.

    Cool video.

  • 6:12 "Of course it's broken now" LOL I wonder why! :D

Take a hammer to anything and eventualy it WILL break. :)

This vid is very inquisitive and informative. I've dissacembled a few TV's in my day but not so carefully and delicately.

My tool of choice was a hammer not a screwdriver LOL

But I go for the copper, not the information in which it can provide.

  • 5:43 ELECTRON GUN GET!!
