  • damn, how big is the building?

  • pretty big. take about a week to do the inspection. 7 floors with 2 wings.

  • sorry 3 wings

  • wow, it must've gotten annoying at one point

  • everything repeats it self as you go down the building. all the speakers/horns/manuals/strobes/etc are in the same place. you get used to it.

  • the panels i hate are silent knights. the alarm is supposed to go off on its own, but the internal timer never works(at least whenever i test one XP), and that they also tend to give any notification appliance .1 volts extra, which is why my previous three schools(ES, MS, HS.) had to keep replacing their alarms(a total of 32 Wheelock NSs, 50 GENTEX Commander 3s, and 46 System Sensor SpectrAlert Classics. ALL WASTED BY SK)

  • I have never seen a silent knight here in Canada. I don't think it passed the ULC standards. We have very strict standards. We are in the top three in the world for fire protection standards. I seen panels on here in youtube that I haven't even herd of.

  • Just finished EST3 training (my first step into fire pannels world), and I think it`s awesome system. Programming with rules is very powerfull.

  • 0.1v doesn't make a blind bit of difference.

  • I have an EST 2 and it is so hard to program and understand, sure they're nice top of the line panels, but it boggles the mind. Might get and EST3-60 (EST4).

  • What do you all think about BOSCH systems. Just reading the manul makes them sound hard to work with

  • yeah... they're panels are better now, but the most user friendly are Fire-Lite, Notifier, Simplex, and conventional Edwards and EST systems.

  • i happen to love EST panels myself. i'm planning on getting a 5-zone Quickstart myself.

  • yeah i know but SK seem kinda cheep and not user frendly

  • apparently, because FireLite is part of Honeywell, ironically, so is SK.

  • im not fond of SK eather

    is firelite OK there?

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA that is
