The video shows LODs of a voxelized scene. The featured plant models are made up of millions of voxels. It is often useful to work with lower LODs to save resources. For example distant objects are rendered at lower LOD than close ones. Similarly large particles usually interact with some of the lower LODs of the content. Atomontage Engine automatically maintains the integrity between the LODs in real-time.

  • I checked the homepage for Atomontage. The level of ambition for this guy is simply mind-blowing. Sure, any engine can do physics. But this guy wants to do liquids, thermodynamics, chemistry! A voxel in this engine could contain information of it's weight, what elements it's made up of. If and how it conducts electricity.

Lets keep an eye on this one. Might get big.

  • Why are the plants so dark? Is it because they were illuminated with Light Omitting Diodes (LODs)?

  • @munha666 Says the one that doesn't understand how long it takes to do something like this. And no, masturbation is for those, such as yourself, that have nothing to do with their time besides looks at boobies and shoot gunk out into a tissue. You should keep doing that, maybe some day you'll be productive with it o.o

  • @wassup986 so imature. i bet you masturbate all day, dont you?

  • @munha666 If your time was so precious, you wouldn't have been commenting on this video in the first place, saying it looks like shit just because you must have down syndrome, or something preventing you to process what you're seeing properly. So fuck off, dumb shit.

  • @wassup986 you clearly dont understand the differences between a triangle and a quad, and its implications, dont waste my time

  • @munha666 For what reason? This guy must have spent days to make that, adding in every single voxel. And it looks amazing when the voxel count is at max.

  • @wassup986 no, im afraid youre the idiot here. sorry.

  • @munha666 Are you fucking serious? Dude....you're an idiot!

  • @AtomontageEngine You really should release some sort of simple tech demo. Just some simple thing people can play with. I've been watching this for a long time and I hope for the whole gaming industry that you achieve your goals!

  • @1GTX1 that particular scene would work on any PC with ~500MB memory and OpenGL 1.4 :) sure it wouldn't perform very well on very old PCs but who cares..

  • @munha666 and its funny that your pc probably cant even run this :P
