I can't belive that they can keep in time during Josh's solo. To my ears, the timing gets soo lost. I wouldn't be able to keep the maracas (or whatever Trent is playing) in time. Very very awesome.

The weird bit is that at the end it is not the drummer who gets off beat but he synth line

The only thing is can match Josh Fucking Freese's drum solo is Justin Meldel-Johnson playing the bassline on an Upright Bass - the "mwah" of flatwound strings on a fretless board truly makes this an "acoustic" song more than any other instrument change.
