  • I said something in dark jest that didn't translate well on the keyboard, so let me clarify... Seamus can play. Nice dark tone, good time, plays thematically. If I thought he was a lightweight, as a number of recorded guys are, I would do what I do with them... say nothing.

  • No... I was listening to guys I worked with in the '70's, like Stitt and Blue Mitchell. My last record under my own name had Joe Sample, Gary Peacock and John Guerin on it. Got jazz album of the year by Jazz Life Magazine in Japan in 1990. I've got ears.
