Rita Hayworth: Turn On The Bright Lights

Due to my original video for Rita being blocked at the beginning of the week, I have remade it to different music. I have chosen this song because I believe that it enhances the impact of Rita's screen presence, and is full of life and vitality - just like Rita.

Rita Hayworth was the catalyst for my initial interest, and later passion/obsession for classic Hollywood. I could not comprehend her beauty or legacy that she left in film, and was amazed at her incredible talent as a dancer and all-round performer. She was indeed, a wonderful actress too.

I hope that this video shows the sheer magnetism of the Love Goddess and all-time-favourite of so many movie-lovers around the world, even decades after her film debut. This isn't my best video, and definitely not the best Rita tribute on YouTube - by a mile! But the aim of it is for you to think WOW at Rita, for she was a truly gifted, understated, and beautiful person.

Hey, finally I'm back and at last I'm able to watch your Rita tribute!!! Oh, thanks so much for sharing this wonderful video with us. I'm so happy that you made a new Rita tribute. I especially admire the chain of clips where Rita is turning around while dancing since I've never seen anybody, who could turn around that smoothly and elegantly. This alternative song is an interesting choice, still I'm very very cusious which song you had planned to use for it originally. ;-) Great job, honey!

@et7waage1 I couldn't agree more Ellen, he swirls and twirls put everyone elses to shame. I had used Wicked Game originally, but when it didn't work I decided to use this one. I knew I wanted to use it for someone, I thought maybe Marilyn, but when I thought about Rita clips with the music, it kinda worked :) Glad you enjoyed it though :) Happy New Year too!! xxx

its interesting..i have consistently found her more captivating, gorgeous, and dynamic when watching your videos of her than when I watch her actual films...i think perhaps it has to do with the energy? but somehow the power of her comes through more here, with different audio, than in the films.
