If John Lennon had still been alive, he would be turning 70 on Saturday - but he has received the ultimate tribute in the shape of a Google Doodle.
The website featured an image which has been designed in honour of the late singer-songwriter's milestone birthday.
Clicking on a play button on the logo leads to a 32-second animated video, set to the chorus of Lennon's classic single Imagine.
The clip features pictures of trees, leaves, and butterflies merging in to one another while the song plays.
It reverts back to a black and white, nature inspired version of the Google logo with Lennon's cartoon-inspired self-portrait in the centre, before automatically bringing up a search page of Lennon links.
Users can also click through to watch the doodle again on YouTube.
Lennon was born in Liverpool on October 9 1940 and became globally famous as a member of The Beatles, alongside Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

This proves Lennon is the best artist ever, and hero! I never seen Lil Wayne, Justin, etc. get commemorated on google or anywhere else.
